I have a copy of a document by a Mrs. Helen Potts Richardson of New Kent, which states that William Savage Bacon (my ggrandfather) was buried in Roseland, across from the pottery in James City Co. in 1856. I visited the area but could not find a cemetery across from the present pottery except the ones along route 60. Does anyone know where Roseland Cemetery is in JCC?

Roseland Cemetary is Roslyn, located on the farm of Jack Massie on Rt 60 across from the pottery. It is the family cemetary of the Marston family. There is no marked grave for WIlliam Savage Bacon, but his wife, Maria Marston Bacon was buried there. I have lots of information on the Marston family if you are interested in it. Also have information on Wiliam Savages first family and his children with Maria.
