Surnames: Edwards, Stanley, Hall, Askew, Harris, Pate
The database is up to 6600 but still no father for her children. Miss Edwards lived in Beaverdam. She was daughter of William and Loucinda Edwards (whose graves I have found). born 1861, died 1950 and buried in Beaverdam by the home of the Hall family. I have her entire family and all of her descendants. What I don't have is the father of her three children (Jacob b. 1889, Hilary b. 1891, and Ora Lee b. 1894) In the microfilm index at the Library of Virginia, there is no birth listing for any of the three. I know they were born as I lived with two of them (pretty good proof). On the marriage register of Ora and Jacob's weddings, there is no father listed. I am still searching for Hilary's. Her sisters married into the Hall and Stanley families of Beaverdam. I have many Hall and Stanley family members in the database. The library in Montpelier helped a little but is also at a dead end. There was a rumor about the Jones family that the family heard years ago. Jacob's remaining son's family doesn't know or won't tell. Anyone have an information or ideas? In her later years, she lived with the Pate family in Beaverdam. The family line was submitted to the Mormon database through the Askew and Harris families. I have MUCH more information than I can list here.
