The son of Robert WADE and Ann STOKES, Hampton WADE, b. 1757 VA, d. KY, married Elizabeth TORIAN Sep 1779 in Halifax Co VA. They were parents of Robert WADE, Edward WADE, and David WADE (birth dates unknown). Robert, son of Hampton and Elizabeth (Torian) Wade, may be my ggrandfather, Robert T. WADE, b. 29 Apr 1789 in VA, died 1871 in KY. Can you help me prove or disprove the theory that Robert T. WADE is the son of Hampton WADE and Elizabeth TORIAN?

Robert T. WADE, Sr. m. in 1847 Elizabeth HENDERSON (1825-1886) and they had the following children, all born in Calloway Co KY: William W. WADE (1848), Edward Brooks WADE (1849-1914), George W. WADE (1851), John R. WADE (1853), James W. WADE (1855-1926), David Buchanan WADE(1856-1922), Mary Jane WADE (1859-1942) and Judy Ann WADE (1862-1865).

We assume Robert had an earlier marriage, a Robert T. Wade, Jr., and possibly other children. The first wife's name may have been Julia (the only readable word on a tombstone next to his).
