Hi, I have just read your message, and I am also trying to trace the roots of Iveson. Reading what you have put, Iveson has been used as a middle name, ironically enough, I have just had a daughter who I have given the middle name of Iveson to as it's my last name and would like the family history to continue. Anyway I am babbling on. From what I have found out so far is that the name Iveson was believed to have traveled over to Britain with the Norman Invasion. The earliest known names of Iveson settlements where reported to be Cornwall, Gloucester and Yorkshire. There is an Iveson coat of arms, there have been various ways of spelling the surname although the version spelt Iverson believed to come from members settling in America. Hope this helps you and you have managed to trace your family back home. Who knows we could have the same relations somewhere down the line.
