Re: John Cary Robins , the son of William Robins and Elizabeth Courtney Cary, was born about 1832 in Gloucester County, Virginia. William Robins was the brother of Augustine Warner Robins and son of William Robins and Juliana Pryor. On 21 June 1854 John Cary Robins married Fanny W Thruston, daughter of Charles Beverly Thruston and Frances Perrin Linger. Fanny W Thruston had a sister, Mary Cary Thruston, born 1837 who married on 23 Dec 1857 to John Tomkies Gwyn, born in 1833. This family had seven children, 5 with issue. I am trying to learn what became of John Cary Robins and Fanny W Thruston his wife. Cary family manuscripts written in the early 1900s state that he died "long ago" but gives no indication of any children.

Charles Beverley Thruston is a direct ancestor of mine through his next marriage to Martha Catlett. I only find him in Stubbs books about the Catletts, etc. where daughter Mary Cary Thruston, only, is mentioned. Do you recall any sources where you found the other sister, Fanny W. I am looking for any information on Charles B. Thruston. I have his parent as Susanna Whiting & John Thruston (but which one?) but I cannot find anything else on either of them. Any ideas would be appreciated.
