Howard was my second cousin once removed, common ancestor was Charles A. Brown. I descend from Charles' son Jefferson A. Brown while you descend from his son, James H. Brown. Does that seem right to you? The house you mentioned...did it used to stand on land that is now owned by Singleton Church and was adjacent to the church? If so, then my father was born in that same house. I grew going to Singleton Church (like all my Brown ancestors) but no longer live in Gloucester.
