Edited to add: Not disputing just curious. First I have heard of his Rev War service. I searched on the DAR website and there is no listing for a Lauterbach, Lauderbach, or Lauterback.

I know their list is not 'comprehensive' as even they say. But is there more I can learn about Matthias and the Rev War, or even that he had a twin?
