Researching the ancestry of Lester Mcclain Sr. and his wife Lillie Rose b. 1900ca Dickenson Co., Va. Any data appreciated.

I have a Lillie M. Rose, b. 13 Apr 1895 VA, m. to a Clyde McClain on 6 Apr 1921. Lillie M. Rose was the daughter of John F. Rose and Phoebe Ann French. John F. Rose was the son of Wilson "Little Wilse" Rose and Mary Jane McKinney. Phoebe Ann French was the daughter of Daniel Louis French and Emeline Smith. I show Lille and Clyde had the following children: Carlos Lee, Paul Franklin, Junior, Willie Bruce, Estice Ray, Sidney Edward, and Goldie Ann. If this sounds familier I have more info. Phoebe Ann French was the sister of my Gr Grandmother Nicatie T. French Buchanan (they were the daughters of Daniel Lewis French and Emaline Smith). I would love to have information on Phoebe's Family.

My father was Daniel Lewis French, a brother of Isaac Edward French, who lived at Clintwood, Virginia. My father married Emaline Smith, and they lived on Smith Ridge in Dickenson County, Virginia. I was born there August 1, 1887. I heard them talk of Daddy's sister, Nancy, marrying a Pewtherer. I never saw either of them, nor do I know where he came from nor where they went. Once I went with my parents to Caney Ridge and they showed me the Pewtherer Flats, and that is all I know about them. My brother Milton, is some older than I am, and he might give you more information about them.
