Searching for descendants of or information about William Anderson, son of William Anderson and Catherine Shirley. William was deceased prior to 15 Dec 1824 when one accounting of his estate was made in court. His children as recorded in this accounting and other chancery records were: Catherine, Rebecca, Henrietta, and William J.

William's wife apparently predeceased him as I can find no record of dower or provisions for her support. These same four children are identified as the children of William Anderson a deceased son of William and Catherine in the final accounting of the estate of Willam Anderson Sr in 1834.

Catherine married John McAshan and went to MO and later to TX. Henrietta went to Williamson Co., TN where she married her cousin James Anderson, son of Joel Anderson and Sarah Davis Greer. William J Anderson was no longer a resident of the Commonwealth as early as 1839 and perhaps before. No information about Rebecca after 1840.
