I've been looking at these messages over a period of time. I'm curious about William Lester m Nancy Webb. I have a William Lewis and Nancy Webb and Nancy would have been William's fourth wife, if my information is correct. I happen to think it is not correct. Someone has said that William's father was definetly William Lewis Lester and his mother was a Woodson. CAn anyone tell me where that information comes from.

There is a group working on Thomas Lester d. abt 1780 Pittsylvania Co VA, with wife Sytha _. WE think or thought that William who married Nancy Webb as the son of Thomas' brother, William. William Sr. had been in Pittsylvania Co (Halifax perviously) as well as Bedford, but returned to Fairfax Co VA before his death in 1776. In William Sr.'s will, he named 4 children and appointed Thomas executor of his will and guardian to his two younger daughters. Later in time, when Thomas died, there was a suit to gain thier share of William Sr.'s estate. William Sr. appears to be older than Thomas, and William Jr (m Nancy Webb) appears to be about the same age as Thomas, perhaps a bit younger.

We think that there were possibly three brothers from Fairfax Co VA, William, Thomas and John. More than likely, there were others.

I'm not sure if these are the same Lester's you are speaking of?

Can you link William to Thomas in Pittsylvania? They also seem to have ties to the Ballinger family and perhaps the Lucas families. John Ballinger preceded Thomas Lester to Pittsylvania Co, and later when John Ballinger's wife, Mary, was dec'd, married Sytha _ Lester, widow of Thomas. All are named in suits regarding Thomas' estate.

I had information on some of the Davidsons both in Charlotte and CAmpbell Co, though they were not direct lines. They are married into varied families of mine.
