I am hoping to find information about my GGG Grandfather, Thomas Honeybus/Hanibus, a former slave. He was born in
Virginia in about 1827. His wife was Martha Ann
Ellis, born in 1834 in
Kentucky. I believe he was last owned in
Missouri by a
Chas Tyler (born in
Kentucky), whose parents John and Catherine Tyler came to
Missouri from
Virginia about 1848. Do you know if your Hannabass family owned slaves and if so, are there any records of a slave named Thomas? Thank you and best of luck in your research.
