Gulielmus COLEMAN, Jr b 29 Jan 1789 d 22 Oct 1856 Buckingham Co, VA was s/o Gulielmus Sr & Eleanor TURNER. The first wife of Gulielmus COLEMAN, Jr was Nancy Ann Garnett GUTHRIE b 1 Feb 1783, d/o William GUTHRIE & Rebecca NOEL. He married her on 12 Jul 1812 in Cumberland Co, VA. Nancy Ann Garnett GUTHRIE was a widow at the time she married Gulielmus. She had been married to a man named WHITE and had one daughter, Sarah Howard WHITE who married John Stainback COLEMAN, the s/o Gulielmus COLEMAN, Sr & Eleanor TURNER. As far as I know no one has a problem with the above but the problem comes about when Gulielmus COLEMAN, Jr married a second time. All agree that he married a Nancy GUTHRIE, the problem is in WHICH Nancy. Some say he married on 20 Mar 1826 in Cumberland Co, VA to Nancy TURNER GUTHRIE b 30 Mar 1806 d 4 Jul 1878 the d/o of William GUTHRIE, Jr & Elizabeth TURNER COLEMAN. Others say he married Nancy GUTHRIE b 20 Apr 1800 d 4 Jul 1878, the d/o Henry GUTHRIE & wife unknown. Note that the date of death is the same for both but the date of birth is different. My question is does anyone know the parents of Nancy GUTHRIE who married Gulielmus COLEMAN?
