She was a daughter of Matthias DUNCAN and Sarah "Sally" DUNKUM. (The other person who responed to your request and stated that his grandmother was Carrie Belle DUNKUM, well, Sarah DUNKUM was Carrie Belle DUNKUM's Great-Great Aunt. This gentleman and I are cousins.) Sarah DUNKUM was daughter of Benjamin DUNKUM and Phoebe JENKINS. This couple were my third Great Great Grandparents. Matthias DUNCAN was the son of Jacob DUNCAN, Jr and Sally AYRES. This couple were also my third Great Great Grandparents. Matthias DUNCAN had been married before he married Sarah DUNKUM. He had married first to a Miss Berryman and had one daughter, Mary Anna DUNCAN. Mary Anna DUNCAN married Edwin NEWTON and this couple were my second Great Great Grandparents. Elizabeth Ann DUNCAN was married to William Joseph FLIPPEN. He was son of Elijah FLIPPEN and Prudence BAUGHAN. I also have FLIPPEN ancestors, therfore William Joseph FLIPPEN was my third cousin four generations removed.
