This is to sartify that We Isaac Taylor and Jane Taylor Doth give freeleave for Mr Hutson to mary our Daughter given from onder our hands this seventh Day of December 1787" Isaac Taylor Jane Taylor Witness William Taylor Mary Taylor

O Know all Men by these presents that we Jesse Hudson and William Taylor are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Edmund Randolph Esquire in the Just and full sum of fifty pounds Current Money of Virginia to the which payment well and truly to be made We bind ourselves our Kins etc– sealed with our seals and dated this 7th day of December 1787. The condition of the above obligation is such that Whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Jesse Hudson and Jane Taylor both of this Parish if therefore there should be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force etc --- Jesse his X mark Hudson seal --- William Taylor seal --- illegible Poindexter (abstract reads James Poindexter, depty clerk)
