Anyone researching their ancestors in Botetourt Co. may be interested in knowing that before 1863 Southern WV was part of Botetourt. You may want to keep this in mind, expecially when searching for burial places. I just discovered this week that one of my ancestors from Montgomery Co. is buried not a half mile from my home. Also saw other names that I had seen in Va. when I was there. Thought this was interesting enough to pass along. Thanks
