I have the Clemens publication of Virginia wills before 1799 which includes names in Amherst County. I would be glad to do a look-up.

Hi -
What a generous offer - I do the same on the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness for the Brumbaugh book of Va. Rev. soldiers... or Virginians in the Revolution - since it includes sailors too.
I am looking for the wills of:
Thomas Parks Sr. d. Mar 1761 Albemarle County, Virginia.
Rev. Joseph Ballinger d. 1744/45 Goochland County, Virginia
John Cunningham (no further info but his son d. 1799)
John Bowen d. 19 May 1761 Augusta Co., Virginia (spouse was Lilliam 'Lily' McIllhany)
Thomas Rucker d. 1763 Blumfield Parish, Culpeper Co., Va.
Peter Rucker d. 23 Feb 1743 St. Mark's Parish, Orange Co., Va.

I have several more but do not want to 'hog' your time. If you have more time and can do more look-ups, please contact me at dsanfilippo303@comcast.net
Thank you very much for your kind offer...
Diane Stark Sanfilippo

Hi Diane- I did not find the specific people in your list but I do find some Parks and Ruckers listed. I don't know about you but I always keep names that may seem unrelated just in case they fit in somewhere later. I am going to do a list for you on a separate document and e-mail it to your personal e-mail address so we don't hog up a bunch of space here. My e-mail address is Hamilton010263@aol.com. Go ahead and send me your other names and I will include them when I send back the others.

Thanks, Mischelle

Hi Eva-

I'm afraid I am no expert but here is what I do know. Going back that far there are probably no official records in a civic office somewhere. During that period irt seems records were kept either by family member in the form of notations in family bibles or other family papers, or in a church where the service was held. I did check the Virginia will book and did not find the Camden name recorded. I'm sorry I could not have been more help.
