i have posted previously regarding the Eggleston family, but I was wondering, now that I have done 2 years of researdch, if anyone else has come across a Eggleston/Meade/Johnson connection other than the obvious (marriage). Thanks in advance!

Aiysha - I would like to correspond or talk with you about the Eggleston/Meade/Johnson family of Holmes County, MS - particilarly in reference to slave ownership of the Egglestons. I'm also interested in Johnson, as my ancestors were Pattie Johnson, bn abt 1836 in VA, (daughter of Harrison and Nancy Johnson. Pattie married Kingston Banks, bn abt 1862 in VA. both were brought as slaves to MS from VA, I believe by the Eggleston family. I have lots of information on this extended Johnson/Banks family.
