I am descendant of Guillaime / Guillaume (William) Witt, who died 1754 in Albemarle County , Virginia.
His wife Elizabeth (or Mildred) Daux died before him and is not mentioned in his will. Uncovered in our research is the following from VA Soldiers 1776 " Should you visit St Anne's Parish, where is located the old Church of Rev Robert Rose, you may be fortunate enough to find the tombstone of William Witt's wife, and read the very interesting inscription thereon. The old Witt homestead at Roseland in Nelson Co Va remained in ..."..
Can someone tell me the location of the above mentioned church and cemetery ? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
