Gordon Mack Davis, 61, died Saturday night, May 27 , at Gifford Memorial Hospital in Randolph, after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 17, 1911, in Bethel, the son of Henry and Eva [Effie] (Mack) Davis of Christian Hill. He attended Bethel schools.
All of his life had been devoted to farming on Christian Hill.
He is survived by two sons, Leonard W. of Dover, Pa., and Robert Earle of Northfield, a daughter Mrs. Homer Griggs of Clinton, Mass.; a sister Mrs. Marion Lueg of Long Island, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson; five nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph with his son-in-law, the Rev. Homer Griggs of Clinton, Mass., officiating. Mrs. Helen Moore was organist. Burial was in Cherry Hill Cemetery in Bethel.
Bearers were Peter Rotta, Ed Blanchard, Louis Orticari, Don Wilson, Clarence Sanders and Charles Hurlburt.
