Hello everyone I am trying to locate a George Wilson who was a selectman in Highgate Vt. in 1795 and 1797. I believe he had a son George who was b: between 1760 and 1790 as they both appear on the 1790 Canada census. George Sr. had a son Thomas b: in 1793 and George jr. was a witness to Thomas' marriage in 1816 in Dunham Qc. I lose track of George jr. from 1816 until 1821 when he appears in Tilbury England and marries Ann Unwin and then again in 1824 at the birth of their daughter Susanna where his occupation is given as a soldier. There are no more records for him until 1841 when he appears on the 1841 England census with his family. George gives his birth place as Essex his age as 40, Ann birth place Essex, John b: 1829, Susan b: 1832, Sarah Jane b 1834, George b 1836, Jane Elizabeth b:1838, and James William b 1841. Sarah Jane, Jane Elizabeth, and James William were all baptized in Canada. I have not however been unable to locate the baptisms of John, Susan b: 1832, and George b: 1836. John and George both immigrated to Canada. George's immigration date was 1843. If anyone has information on these Wilsons it would be greatly appreciated.
