Joseph F. Ray (b. 1830) married Jane Clarissa Allard 11 Mar 1855 in Plymouth, Windsor, Vermont.

Joseph was a Rutland County Civil War private for Vermont Heavy Artillery, Company H, 11th Regiment.

They had two children born in VT: Abbie J Ray b. 1856; Orrin Freeman Ray b. 1860. The family moved to Lima, Pepin, Wisconsin by 1870 and to Eaton County, Michigan by 1880.

I have census and military records about these people, but not much more. I just want to see if anyone's out there who has connections or suggestions for continuing my research regarding their lives in Vermont.
