It would appear that the Eaton (Itten)researchers having no idea that the marriage between John and Magdalena ended in divorce came to the conclusion that Magdalena died. The Schneider reserchers decided that John must have died. I have not been able to find a record of their divorce but since both later married someone else it is assumed that they did. If you wish further info on John please let me know.

YES, I would like to know more about John Itten. I have one photo of Magdalena. Do you have photos of John? Do you have any journal entries or family stories about their time shared? He has always been a mystery to me. I am so glad that he went on to have a full life, a family. I would love to know more.

I am sorry, I do not have a picture of John. I have nothing about the time that he and Magdalena were married as far as journals or diaries. There is a publication that the Daughters of Utah Pioneers put together in a 4 volume history titled "Pioneer Women of Faith and Fortitude". Magdalena Schneider is listed in that publication on pg 2324. That is when I realized she had lived and that John and she must have divorced. It will be a good place to search both for info on her as well as a photo of her. The only photo of have of Magdalena is the one I photocopied out of the book and it did not come out well. I would love a copy of her picture for my records, can you scan one to me?
