I am searching for a marriage certificate for Joseph Rueben
AUGUSTON [AUGUSTSON on Vernal baptism certif], married to Edna Alice HOOPER approx 1908, either in Vernal, Uintah Co, or Salt Lake City--don't know which one. His parents were Mormon [he was 3rd child of 3rd wife--father Lars was polygamist]. I don't know if she was a Mormon, or if they had a Mormon ceremony. The LDS don't appear to have records of him entered in the data base--I found the baptism certif for him and two siblings looking in old records that I requested.
I seem to have hit a brick wall, both for the marraige date and location, and any info on Edna HOOPER.

Joseph Rueben Auguston [AUGUSTSON] was baptized and attended school in Vernal County [father Lars J. Augustson moved his two families to Vernal in approx 1875].
Rueben (as he was called in his younger years), married
Edna Alice HOOPER, probably of Provo, UT. I do not know if they were married in the Mormon church, nor do I know where they were married. I am looking for a wedding date, marriage certificate, etc.

They were married in Mercur, Utah and got their marriage license in Tooele County. Following is the reference.

Thank you so much for answering my query about marriage license. I had had the librarian in Uintah helping me, but she couldn't find Mercur for a long time--she finally discovered that it is now a ghost town. I never once thought that he had married there.
