i am related to jeremiah but my problem is i can not find the info to connect him to my Great grandfather Penny Murray my whole family resides in Vernal, Utah if anyone can help me with the gap i would greatly appreciate it.

Remember there are two Jerimiah Hatch Murrays. The first Jeremiah Hatch Murray was born to John and Sarah Murray. He had a son Jeremiah Hatch Murray. This Jeremiah Hatch Murray was the father of Penny Murray. My grandmother and Penny were raised together both of their mother's pasted away early in life. Both of these Jeremiah's are located in the Maeser cemetary. If you need more info Contact djaques@relia.net. I would be glad to give you specifics also the Regional LDS History Center has a copy of the Jeremiah Hatch Murray book.

Uncle Penny was Brother to my Grandfather Nile J Murray. born August 19, 1910 Lile GLen Murray - I know this because I shared his birthday. It was a big deal for me as a kid to sahre his b-day. His father was the Jeremiah Hatch Murray born in Spanish Fork, Utah April 2, 1878. He had two wives, Mary Ashby and Rachel Ellen Merkley. Rachel had seven children: Nelson, Margaret, Merle, Milton, Lile (Penny) Nile, (my grandpa) and Leila. If you aren't already aware, there was a book made by Flora Murray Hall back about 1980. It covers pretty much our entire family back to about 1697. I'd be happy to share whatever information I could.

How is your family doing? Is your Aunt or great aunt Ellen still alive and doing ok. I used to visit her when my son went to speech up in salt lake, her home was really close to where he had to go.

I think she is one of the very last grandchildren of Jeremiah Hatch Murray SR.(born in 1844 page 1) and his wife Mary Ashby Murray they had sixty five grandkids in all. Wow. Now, they had a son named Jeremiah Hatch Murray JR (born in 1878) and he had a wife named Rachel Merkley. (Her brother, Charley Merkley, marred JHM JR.'s sister Mary.) Jermeiah (JR.) had several other wives but no children were born within those marriages. (page 212 in the book.) The other wives aren't listed but Lisa Miglori who is a granddaught of Penny's was telling me about it not too long ago.



We are actually trying to update the book. It's amazing that your line is one of the few I haven't found yet. Dave Murray and his twin(Penny's son) and my dad, Cody Jenkins (from william Murray on page 256) were born within days of each other. Nine months before, both parents had gone on a hunting trip together.

I see on page 219 that Nile died at around 61 years old. Where did all the family go afterwards.!!! Are they mostly in Washington or all over.
