I read a 2001 message from you concerning the surname Reichenbach. That is my mother's maiden name. I have her parents (Charles H. and Louisa M. Reichenbach) and grand parents (Charles and Augusta Reichenbach). We think our great grand parents were born around 1825 in or around Leipsig, Germany. I have not been able to find their connection in Germany for this part of my ancestry. Can you help me in this endeavor? Thank you. George

I replied to this message once before but I think I may have misled you. The verbal tales that I have heard from my uncle is that two Reichenbach brothers (one who was my great grand father Charles Reichenbach) came to America sometime inthe 1850s. They lived for a while in New York City where they married and some of their children were born and then came to Pittsburgh in the late 1860s. I have found them in the 1870 and 1900 census for Pittsburgh but have not been able to find them in earlier New York City census. I have no documentation as to where in Germany they were born. Can you tell me the best way to find more about my ancestors from Germany? With love in Christ,
