James “Jimmy” David Scales, 38, of Blackfoot, Idaho, died on
Monday, June 13, 2005 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 14, 1967 in Las Vegas, NV, the son
Of Warren G. and Nola King Scales. Jimmy received his education in Elko, NV. He joined the Marines at Camp Pendleton, Florida after graduating from high school. He returned to Elko and helped his step-father, Richard Norrup, run a KOA campground. He also helped construct homes in Las Vegas, NV, worked at a Wal-Mart distribution center in St. George, UT, and worked for the BLM in Kanab, UT. On May 18, 1996, he married Tiffany Swapp in Kanab, UT. In 2003, they moved to Blackfoot, Idaho. He was a member
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, taxidermy, fishing, arrowhead hunting and archery. He is survived by his wife, Tiffany of Blackfoot; son Tyler and daughter Shelby, both of Blackfoot; sister Leslie Scales; and step-father Richard Norrup of Kanab. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Hawker Funeral Home.
