I appreciate your input and had checked ancestry, findagrave, genealogybank, familysearch and the byu library since the event occurred in Utah. Had not thought to contact the individual entering the findagrave info. Am reluctant to put too much time into this as Linda is from Minn and unsure how she might have connected with Utah.

Thanks for your guidance.

lynda

Hi Lynda,
I searched for your Jack on Genealogybank and didn't find an obit for him - there were two obits - one mentioned a Johnson and the other mentioned a Jack Gailey - that was old enough to be Your Jacks father. But none for your Jack. I did find this though: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=18...
maybe you can contact the contributor and see if they have anymore info?
You can email at: tamhbrih@aol.com

Best wishes,
Tammy

In 1910 she's not with her grandfather John in Terrace, Box Elder, UT nor is she with her grandmother and brothers in Montello, Elko, Nevada.

The Box Elder Co. deaths from 1898-1905 are available at the Utah Archives & Records Service, archives.utah.gov/research/inventories/84099.html.
I would be happy to share with you some family history I have on this great pioneer. I'm not sure of how many "greats" I am... but he is a great-great-great or something grandfather of mine. There is also a cute story of Grandpa Allen rescuing the young man that would one day be another Grandpa in my family. I actually have files that I was trying to post on here but was unable. My email is jessica_edstrom@yahoo.com email me and I'll send the stories to you.

I have put some names on the Find A Grave Website for Rosevear in the Kelton cemetery. I would like to see more information added for them. I am not related to any of them, but felt that they needed to be remembered somewhere. I have been there a couple of times back in the early 90's. It was so far away from any town. My Great Uncle used to take live stock to Kelton from Yost to be transported elswhere. My Grandma also took the train from Kelton to Reno, Nevada. She went there to marry my grandfather. So I think it was an important train stop for the area. If you would like control of the memorials on the Find A Grave Website just let me know and I will release them to you. I believe you have to be signed up though. R. Wood

I found your post from 10 years ago when I was looking for answers for her today. I am interested in his career as an Attorney as well. I know he served as a judge in Riverside, Ca. and was a commissioner for Indian affairs as well. He lived in Elsinore, Ca at one point too. I don't have much information on him and I was only 9 yrs old when he died.
I would love to see the photo you have referenced here,

Rendi Ames (McGuire)

I've tried every way I can to make the picture clearer, but can't. This is the only known photo of him. Do you know where I might be able to obtain a copy of this photo that is more clear?

Hi,
I realize I am responing ato very old post, but I am a descendant of early Kelton Residents. My GG-grandfather George Tenbrook Rogers was a Blacksmith, Town Marshal (according to written family history), Postmaster. He was married while living in Kelton and had several children there, before moving to Honeyville.

I would love to connect with any other early settlers descendants. I have visited the town site many times with my children.

Looking for death and burial info on Norton Penny & Nellie Atwater. He is the son of Manasseh Penny and Phoebe Robinson. He was born in Suffolk NY Apr 1846. He moved to Henry Co, Il with his parents between 1850 & 1860. He married Nellie Atwater Jan 1866 in Henry Co, IL. She was born in 1847 in IL. In 1870 census I believe he is living in Hamilton Co, IA. There is a record at familysearch.org that says he died before 1887 in Brigham City, UT. I'd like to confirm this and find out where he & Nellie are buried.
Thank you for any help.
Mary

Hi

I think there must have been at least two George FACERs.

I have been researching the PRIOR family and found that Mary married George at St. Neots, Hunts 1857. They then moved to America early 1860s.

I have done nothing with regards to the FACERS. Although I have just had a look and it would appear that Georges parents were Henry and Mary. I am unable to confirm this I am only going by public trees on Ancestry and IGI Family Search.

If I can be of any further help please let me know.

Good Luck
Su

I'm looking for Amy Bodily from Corinne, Utah in regards to her John Davidson Burt post from 14 Apr 2002:

I am the editor of Pioneer Magazine published by the Sons of Utah Pioneers. We publish a quarterly magazine featuring the history of the early pioneers in Utah. (Our website is www.sonsofutahpioneers.org).

Our next issue covers stories and journal entries on the every day lives and trials of the Mormon Pioneer. We are quoting quite a bit from the journal pages of Ann Howell Burt. I would like to find a picture of her to print in the magazine. Also, I have seen a picture of Ann with three grandchildren dated 1891, names listed as David and Moses Rosenbaum and Estras Jones

I'm interested in who these grandchildren are . . . are the first two from her daughter? Did these 3 go with her on her mission to the Sandwich Islands?? Also, when did Ann marry John D. Burt??

Is the grandchild David Rosenbaum related to the Utah artist: David “Howell” Rosenbaum (1908-1982) born in Brigham City, Utah.
