I'm fairly new to genealogy so it's not surprising that I've come up to a road block in searching for ancestors. My ggrandfather lived near Belton in Bell County (Aiken-Cedar Creek) according to the 1870 census, but was born about 1845 in Tennessee (again accordin to the census). In the census, Henry's last name is AUTHER.

Henry married Eva Kirby on 31 Oct 1869 (confirmed by a marriage certificate) in Bell County. They may have continued to live in Bell County but, by 1881, they were in Madison County.

I am trying to locate the parents of Henry and his siblings but have so far not had any luck. I would appreciate any advice on other Bell County resources that may be helpful. Thanks.
