Good Morning!! The middle name spelled incorrectly was probably my error due to a lack of sleep for more than 22 hours . . . I get that way!!! Lately I even type words like more that turn out to be mroe . . . sorry.

You're WAY ahead of me on these people now but from the looks of it I'm unsure if you think there's a possibility of uncovering WHO the mother of Rose Ella, James P and Charity O BUTTS might have been exactly?

My eyesight is poor (glasses don't help) and when I print out your messages for reference the print is so small I can barely read what's on the paper . . . Use a magnifying glass but it's tedious work after many hours.

How I seem get drawn into this sort of thing is my curiousity along with the sense of pleasure I receive in being able to clear a path beyond these brick walls that we so often encounter.

After more than twenty years of my own research I'm certain I KNOW who the parents were of my 3rd great grandfather, but am still unable to PROVE it!!! A NY historian encouraged me to follow EVERY possible lead, work with time lines and if everything "fit" properly I was probably correct. Guess that's what they refer to as a "preponderance of evidence" in genealogy. Unfortunately this evidence is still "suspect" in the minds of many.

Have to water the plants outside, do a few household "chores" and will then get down to working on this latest batch of information you've uncovered.

I'm certain I may have questions.
