Searching for information about a KKK raid on a family's home back in 1930s-1940s timeline. The family's last name was Hammond and they owned a cotton farm. The family was attacked because they were Native Americans and evidently fairly prosperous. They were made to leave in the middle of the night with only what they could carry in their hands. My Hammond line comes from Wood Co. and allied names include Birdsong, Pilkington, Webb, Turner, Bradshaw, Browning, Snead, Reynolds, Smith, and others.
