I am seeking information about my great grandmother Shirla M King. King is her married name, her maiden name is unknown. She was born in 1911 and died sometime in the 1952. Shirla was 18 when my grandmother was born in 1930.

Shirla married Chester W. King, he was born in 1909.

This week I am ordering Shirla's birth and death certificate from Austin Texas. I know that the family moved from Texas to California, back to Texas. I have been searching for their graves and cannot find them.

In the 1940 census, Shirla and Chester were living together in rural Wise Texas. The census indicates she had a 7th grade education, and her husband Chester made it to his freshman year of high school. They owned their home which was worth about $400.

I do not know if Texas will be able to provide birth or death certificates with such little information. I know that these people were extremely poor.
