Looking for a grave.

Surnames: Gindhart
On October 28, 1954 my grandmother gave birth to a baby boy named Gregory Lynn Gindhart. The baby lived only a few days and died while she was still in the hospital. Her husband "took care of everything" before she was released. She is now 77 years old and still cries because the baby's Father has passed away and taken the truth as to where Gregory was buried to his own grave. My Grandmother has never had closure for the death of her baby. If anyone knows how I can find this info or has happen to see a grave with this name while visiting another grave ...... please let me know. Gregory was born in Kermit Tx.

According to the Texas Death Index, Gregory died on October 30, 1954, and his death certificate is number 64174. The death certificate itself should tell you where he is buried and who the undertaker or funeral home was.

Wow, Thank you so much.
I am so new at this that I don't know what to do with the Death Cert # 64174. I'm not sure where to search from here.

The baby is buried in the Kermit Cemetery; the Grave is not marked; the Cemetery has been surveyed and an index is online; i have copied the link and the cemetery information on where the grave is at; if you visit the cemetery there is also a map and index inside a visitors box at the entrance to the Cemetery; if you need further help feel free to email me at kermitkids@classicnet.net

I see you've already been given the burial location. But if you would still like to have the death certificate, here's a link to order it from the state:

I hope your grandmother will feel better now, knowing where her baby is.

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!
I checked my personal e-mail on line from work this morning (which I never do) to see if I received any responses about Gregory's location. It is now 11:00 PM and I have had the most productive day. Thanks to your information,I have already contacted the funeral director that buried my Grandmother little girl that passed away in Indiana in 1951. He has already contacted the funeral director there at the Kermit Cemetery and they are working together to have Gregory brought to Indiana to be laid to rest by his big sister.
I cannot thank you enough for your information. It has brought my Grandmother the closure that she should have had years ago.

She does not have a copy of the certificate of death. She has never even seen one. She was not sure what they even determined his cause of death was. She believes he was what they called a "blue baby", where they have heart problems.
I am so thankful that I have found this site and that there are people so willing to help. Our prayers have been answered. I have already begun the process to have him moved to Indiana and be buried with his baby Sister that passed away in 1951! I will go on the link you have provided and get her a copy.

Again .... thank you so much.

I have to let you know what you have done for my family. Mainly my Nanny!
Today was such a bittersweet day! We had Gregory exhumed and sent to Indiana. He arrived at the funeral home in Muncie Indiana on Thursday.
Today, my Nanny was able to say her "goodbyes" to him. We had his sister exhumes also and we buried them together and had a small "funeral/memorial" for both of them. It was the most amazing thing ever.
I cannot begin to thank you for your information that you provided. It has created such closure and assurance for a Mother that was never able to heal from her pain for over 50 years.
