Hi John Thanks for your reply, this has been some really difficult and interesting research which is still ongoing. I have NELSON FULLUM who was living in Robinson Twp Washington County described as "Coloured/Mulatto on various documents, Presbyterian church record, census etc. He died in Washington County PA in 1829, left everything to his wife Magdalena FULLEM and their seven son's. 3 of the boys were only minors when their father died. Magdalena moved over to County Armstrong and was living with her son John and his wife Sarah, then some of the family moved to Indiana County PA c 1850. I have timelines etc a lot more details, pension records, tax etc but thought I would just give you a brief description of the research I've been doing. Our branch of the family has been problematic as the name has changed to FULLER. ie Magdalena is buried in Indiana County PA as Magdalena FULLER wife of NELSON in 1853, her probate record is spelt FULLEM, pension record FULLEM census x 1 FULLER in Kiskiminetas Armstrong Co. PA.
3 of the boys use the name FULLER. JOHN, WILLIAM and HENRY. I don't know for certain who Nelsons father is but could be BENJAMIN FULLUM, what colour he is?? Not sure. Also I have traced "a" Benjamin FULLUM back to Virginia, same family I'm not sure but how many Benjamin FULLUMS can there be. Can send more to you if you are interested. Please let me know if this can be pieced up with your information. Kindest regards Dianna
