Hi James, I am glad to see you may have found her. That is some great sluething you did on the Ula Cohn. I looked and looked and did not find anything. Let us know if it is her. You might try contacting the the local library and see if they can give you anymore info on where this Ula Cohn is buried, and the birth too. That might save a few dollars in the long run. I think I found Eula Bell Cohn, I found a Ula Cohn died in April 1925 in Montgomery, Alabama. i am sending off for a copy of her death certificate. I think she may have been buried in the same cemetary as Bettie Leon Cohn (her child) who died 1/23/1925, just 2 to 3 months before. Thanks again

Your more than welcome James. I tried to find Eula Cohn, but had no such luck. You might try the local libraries, in each state in the 2 counties, and see if they have a book on the cemetery. They are almost always more than glad to help, at least that has been my experience. You might try locating a relative that would have an obit on her. Thank you so very much. I am very excited to see that my Great Grandfather has a tombstone and where he is buried. I have searched for a long time. I am also looking for his wife Eula Bell Cohn born 1896 and she died around the same time as James Banister Cohn, but I am not sure if she died in Alabama or Georgia. I had no idea that there was a forth child that died at 12 days old. Thanks again.

It says that he is buried in the Electra Cemetery. I have surveyed photographed all of the headstones at the Old Electra Cemetery and if he is buried there, he does not have a headstone. You can contact Joyce at JMeeks@aol.com and she can tell you if he is buried in the New Electra Cemetery. Julie

I think James Banister Cohn may have been married before Eula as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found where an Alma Robertson died here in 1979. Looking at a 1981 City Directory, there are no Robertson's living at 4901 Neta Lane so she must have been the last one living there.

I've come across a Bible c. 1943 with the name and address of Alma Robertson, 4901 Neta Lane, Witicha Falls, Texas, 76302. I realize Wichita is misspelled. It was in my mom's or grandmom's stuff in Birmingham, AL and have never heard the name and know Texas isn't a place they had been. Any info is appreciated.

Well, I am not sure. My research primarly focuses on the Fox family, and tracing the Fox's--My Great Grandmother Senia Fox married into the Franics Family through James Madison Francis in 1872 in Fair Garden, Tenn (Sevier County). I might suggest you try googling that name and if no luck, try the name James Madison Francis and see if you can find any connection. I sure want to know what you find out, and I know that some of the Fox's would also have interest. thanks. Good luck.

Lara, Nathan P. Sanders was also my great grandfather. His daughter Maurice is my mother's mother. I also have heard several stories from his days in law enforcement. My mother says we met in the late 70s or early 80s when you came to visit with your grandfather (after your father's passing). I do not remember- I was only a small child then. Please reply.

William Burney Francis, one of the children of Senia Fox Francis is buried in the same cemetary in Wynnewood, Oklahoma as Senia, his wife, Dora Belle Vineyard Francis is also buried there as is most of the entire Fox clan. I am his granddaughter, Winnie Ruth Stell-Riza, daughter of one of his three children, Myrtle Joann Francis (who is sister to Maureen Francis Earl, and both these girls brother was William Marvin Francis.

David, here is the obit for George. As far as Hettie goes, I couldn't find a death cert. and Shirley couldn't find a funeral home record. I am not really sure if she died in Wichita Falls. Sorry I couldn't help you on her. Wise County might be your next place to look since she is buried in the Alvord Cemetery but I am afraid that you will have to pay for it there. Julie

I know that she is buried in Alvord. I wonder if Wise Co. might have a funeral home record for her? I didn't have time to check that, but it is possible. Wichita Co. death certificates weren't very reliable until the 1920's. Julie

David, I will see what I can find the next time I go to the library. Do have have Hattie's DAY of death? I really can't find an obit unless I have a day. It would take 3 or 4 hours to go through each and every newspaper for Dec. because the obits aren't listed in any certain place. You have to read the whole paper to find it. I am afraid that I just don't have that many hours in my day that I can devote to searching the newspaper.
