Looking for any information on the Insane Asylum in Wichita Falls, Texas. Does anyone know if they have records available, and how to access them. Also do they have their own cemetary. Please let me know if anyone knows how to find out about the Isane Asylum, and is it still in operation. Could be called the State Hospital today. Thank-you.

You must have the oldest living relative contact for information to be released (in writing). They will not release the information to anyone else. Also, must know Name and Birthplace (I had to submit) of Patient, approximate dates they were there and the names of their parents and their birthplaces. If they died in the institution, their death record will not be found there. You will have to write to Austin, because all deaths are investigated by the state. I do not have that address. Carl Dean was my great-grandfather and Lula my great-greandmother. My grandfather was Floyd Dean. My father is Joe Dean.

My great-grand parents were divorced. He had been married before, possibly, and maybe afterward.
