Edward and Dorrie Harris, John, Everett, Jessie, Wade (children)
I've hit numerous brick walls with this family, but recently learned they lived at times in Wichita Falls, I'm not sure when they first lived there, possibly 1920-1947. I spent a long time at Ancestry.com yesterday trying to find them in census records for TX and OK.
Edward is said to have been an Irish immigrant, married Retta, a Chickasaw Indian in OK, they had John Henry Harris in early 1914, and Retta died in Tishomingo, OK about six months later. He later married Dorrie/Dorry/Dollie and had the last three children. Edward died before Dorrie. I'm told he was a drunk and spent a lot of time in jail.
All of this information was gleaned from interviews with the older children of John Henry Harris (my late FIL, who I never met) I can't even find a birth certificate for John!!
I'm wondering if Edward was his middle name, with John or Henry being a first name. I can't find them on census records for 1920 or 1930 in OK or TX.
I'm hoping with this query to at least find death information for Edward. I just wrote to Beverly Wyatt to ask her to check the County Cemetery.
Thanks for any help any of you might be able to offer.
