Your post (question) was from so long ago, you are probably not actively searching for this info. But, thought I'd pass along in case anyone is interested. Vol R Harris Jr. that you asked about was my husband's uncle (married to his aunt Euna Sanders Harris). She is still living (2011). Both Vol's and Euna's parents are buried in Lorenzo Cemetery in Crosby County, Texas. Vol & Euna have one daughter, Memory (@ age 62) one granddaughter Ashley (@age 40). This daughter and granddaughter are their only descendents. None of them are interested in genealogy. Wish I could help more.
