PECOS - Virginia Gamboa, 80, died Saturday, May 30, 1998, at her residence. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Marathon and was a lifetime resident of Pecos. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Survivors include four sons, Robert Gamboa of Coyanosa, Liberato Gamboa Jr., Anastacio Gamboa and Ismael Gamboa, all of Pecos; four daughters, Rosa Peticolas of El Paso, Maria Castenada of Coyanosa, and Corina Pando and Sue Carrasco, both of Pecos; a brother, Joe Vasquez of Fort Stockton; six sisters, Herminia Rodriguez of Dallas, Petra Moreno and Dionicia Vasquez, both of Fort Stockton, Juana Moralez of Roseville, Calif., Maria Bass of Carlsbad, N.M., and Manuela Villalba of El Paso; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
