Looking for information on ANDREW WARD. He is found in the 1846 tax rolls and has a family (no wife) in the 1850 census. I find him again living with Absalom Blake in 1860. Born in NC or SC around 1790. All in Titus County. Does anyone have information on this family?

There is an Andrew Ward in my family. He is the son of John Wesley Ward and his wife Mary Waggoner. He was born in TX most likely in Titus, lived in Titus as well as Red River counties in TX and died in Springfield OR. His wife was named Dolly. I haven't located any offspring of theirs.

Oops, let me correct that last post. Andrew was born in 1881 in Arkansas not Texas. His siblings are Christopher Columbus Ward, James Nathan Ward (my great grandfather), General F. Ward (General was his given name, he was not a military general), Albert Ward, Sarah C. Ward. This may or may not be the Andrew you're looking for.

Thanks, Cent4man. This cannot be my Andrew as my Andrew is almost 80 in 1860. But there is a good chance that they were related in distance. Do you know if anymore Andrews were up the line - born in the late 1700's?

I's still searching that branch. I'll get back to you if I find anything.
