In reply to your message on Samuel Reese...I do not recognize the first name Samuel among my relatives. Frank
Reese came from Alabama...lived close to Mt. Vernon in
Franklin County. He had a son named George Redman Reese who had a son named Frank Reese that married my
mother the first time...he died and she later married my
father, Henry Milton Bell. From Frank Reese I have one
living sister, one living brother and one is deceased. If this
connects to yours I will be glad to help you with the info
on the family...regards and thanks for answering my
message...Elizabeth

Elizabeth: Thank you so much for your reply...it appears that there is no connection in the families...Samuel and Celia Reese (Celia in the 1870 census is spelled Seley) had a number of children, they were: Louis, Albert, Amy, Aubrey,Addie, Kate, Bobby, Alma, Helen, Jake and Lillian...
Great grandfather Samuel Reese built and operated the first cotton gin in that part of East Texas, near Daphne...this was shortly after Eli Whitney, ivented the first cotton gin...The gin eventually killed Samuel, when he was caught up in the machinery lost an arm and bled to death...that's about all I can find out him...anyway, thank you very much for replying, Bob Young

I'm searching for information on Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) Williams, who married Lucy Porter, granddaughter of Reese Porter. Do you have information on the Williams family? I can't seem to find anything about them.

Thanks Rebecca Fagan

Rebecca: I can find no record of Thomas Jefferson Williams, in any of my Williams Family records. My great grandfather, was Christopher Williams, that came to Texas from Tennessee.
I am also related to another family of Williams, that were in Titus County, for a period of time and settled in the Williamson County area of Texas...The relation was through my great-great grandmother, Mary Ann (Berry) Young,,,
I'm sorry I can't be of more help...Thanks for the message
