I was born, Barbara Bilene Bassham on 8/22/1939 in Big Springs, TX to William L. Bassham and Elsie Lorene Grissom.

Grandparents names on mother's side; Josh G. Grissom and Bertha Lee York Grissom. They lived in Colorado City, TX. My grandfather died and I believe was buried there. I'm not sure where my grandmother was buried. All I know about my father's family was that his mother died when he was young, and I remember my grandfather Bassham lived and owned a farm in Colorado City,TX. My grandfather Grissom worked in law enforcement when I was a child, and then, he owned and operated a service station in Colorado City,TX.

I am tracing the family of Leonard Lawrence Bassham (25 May 1880 - 9 Jul 1933). A son William was born 1917/1918. You did not include your father's lifespan but that william would have been age 21 in 1939. Am I "warm"?
