I need help finding my family roots. My great-grandparents were married in Titus County Texas on April 20, 1903. They were John Blair Newman and Maudie Lee Hollis. John B. Newman was born on September 19, 1880 and he died on December 5, 1920. His wife passed away in the 60's.Maudie was born on July 22, 1887. Their is also the possibility of American Indian heritage on one side but not sure which one. Maudie Lee Hollis family was from Clay County Alabama before moving to the Mount Pleasant Texas area. She also had other sibilings but I have no information on them either. I would deeply appreciate any help anyone can give. Much of the family is now deceased and little information is still around. Newman in the Titus Co,TX Cemetery book Volume 2# buried in the Union Hill Cemetery he was born Sep. 1880 died Dec.1920 his wife appears to be Vella E. born Jul 1887 died Mar 1964 page 195 .I hope this is your man. PS There seems to be quite a few Newman's in the Tiyus Co. Cemetery Book be happy to look them up for you. Joann

Say, I am sorry for the error Maudie L. was John B. Newmans wife got mixed up so many Newmans in the book but they are both on page 195 Union Hill Cem Titus Co. Cemetery book volume 2# Joann

My guess is that is James Aaron Newman & Francis Cook's son.
