Galvin, 89, of
Brownfield passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009 in
Brownfield. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald
Leatham officiating. Interment will follow at the
Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home.
Antonia was born on May 10, 1920 in Thorndale,
Texas to Juan and Sulema Chadis. She was raised in the towns of Thorndale, Post and
Brownfield. Antonia married
Santos Galvan on Sept. 11, 1940 in
Brownfield. He preceded her in death in 1986. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Julia
Ruiz and 2 sons, John and Richard
Galvan and her pet Cookie. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed. She had a great love for animals and always opened her heart and home to any strays, which she took wonderful care of. She was a member of the Gualanpanas of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Antonia is survived by 4 daughters,

Ruiz of
Brownfield and Linda
Salazar and her husband Fidencio of Brownfield; 4 sons, Antonio
Galvan and his wife Connie of Odessa,
Santos Galvan Jr. and his wife Alma of
Lubbock, Mario
Galvan of Odessa and Jerry
Galvan of Odessa; 2 sisters, Carmen
Alonzo and Jesusa Miranda; 2 brothers, Paul and
Marcelino Chadis; 28 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; her beloved pet
Chato and the family's dear friends the Dr. Sherman Hope Family.
