Services for Joseph Moreno, 75, of Brownfield were held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 19 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Joe passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in Brownfield. Joe was born Oct. 30, 1933 in Gonzalez to Jacinto and Sabrita Moreno. He attended school in Gonzales. He married Carolina Rivera Nov. 5, 1958 in Brownfield. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Society and St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Louise Moreno in 2004.
Joe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn; a daughter, Gloria Gonzalez and her husband Thomas of Brownfield; three grandchildren, Sara, A. J. and Anthony; a brother, Max Moreno and his wife Vicky of Tokio; a sister, Janie Gonzalez and husband Frank Garcia of Gonzalez.
