My mother Mary Loraine Brown Mosley went to school at Shep in Taylor Co.in late 1930s or early 1940s. I am looking for information on her family. Marion Brown had a farm very near the border of Taylor and Nolan counties. I believe my ggrandfather is buried in the Shep cemetary. Marion Brown was the son of Samuel Marion Brown (1843-1926)and Mary Elizabeth Evans (1845-1909). They had 1)Marion Brown (1868-1948) who married Mary Elizabeth Sliger (1870-1939) in 1892. 2)Ellie Brown (1877-1940) married Robert LaGrone (1872-1934). 3)Henry Brown (1881-1932)married Ola Hardin in 1910. 5)Mattie Brown (1878-1940) married Andrew LaGrone (1877-1958). 4)Jessie Brown (1884-1954) married Clara Wallace in 1909. 6) Rube Brown (1875-1948) married Charity Ryals in 1909. It is beleived that Samuel Marion Brown came to Texas from MS. Any help you can give me in locating any of this Brown family would be appreciated.
