Ok, again no names. Let's go with Tarrant county where you have posted your query and just Hoadley.

The following deaths from social security show the following Hoadley's last social security benefit was in Tarrant county.

Jessica P Hoadley born 12 Feb 1913 died 19 Sep 1999 Fort Worth

Recognize any of these three ? I do not find any Hoadley children born to a Jessica or a Carmen.

Seaborn's father was George Lee Compton Johnson. His grandfather was George Washington Johnson. I never heard the name Lawton used for any family member. It may have been a miswriting or misremembering of the name Compton.

Charles Louis Downs was also married to Norma Jean Yates. They had 1 son, Terry Joe Downs DOB 14 Jun 1962.

No, I haven't found John Richard Cetanyan's marriage record to Thelma Louise Henderson Broughton. I'm not sure which name appeared for the bride, but Cetanyan is unique.

Jacob T Fitch; in fall of 2008 had two living grand daughters, Dorothy Nell Fitch Brooks of Denton and Frances Marie Fitch Quinn daughters of Victor Bell Fitch and Georgia Carmen DeSpain.

Two of Dorothy's sisters died in Fall of 2008, Victorene Fitch Young and Carmen Kathryn Fitch Goldthwaite and have found their obits.

Victorene Fitch Young, 95, of Paris passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 24, at Oak Park Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Cook officiating. Interment follows in Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

The family receives friends 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Pilot Point, the daughter of Victor B. and Carmen DeSpain Fitch. She married George Thomas Young on July 19, 1931, and their children were Bettye Carmen Young Player and George Michael Young. They moved to Paris in 1947 and established Young's News Agency. After G.T. Young's death in 1962, she and George continued to operate the business until they sold it in 1995.

In addition to loving her family and being a career woman, she was an active club member and served as president of many of these organizations: Altrusa Club of Paris, Business and Professional Women's Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Paris Golf and Country Club, Twilight Tillers Garden Club, Paris Noon Study Club and Oak Park Methodist Women. She served as director of District 12 of Business and Professional Women's Club, who named her 1955 Woman of the Year. She also served on the planning and zoning committee for Paris City Council. For her civic contributions, she received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Paris Rotary Club.

She loved to read, play bridge and work crossword puzzles, as well as play golf, which she played, albeit slowly, through age 92. She loved her church members at Oak Park Methodist Church.

Her life was a true testament to the fortitude that a strong woman can give to her family, church and community. She was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her son George Young of Paris; her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Mamma, Michael Player and wife, Rhonda, of Kansas City, Tim Player and wife, Shari, of Terrell, Kristi Young of Paris, and Gary Young and wife, Sydney, of Paris; her great grandchildren, Tonya Player Kramer, JaNae Player, Michaela Player, Erin McDowell Jennings and husband, Benjiman, Russell, Grant, Jack and Lucy McDowell, Zane and Zoie Young and Brenden James Player. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

She was the oldest of five sisters who called her Sissy. Surviving sisters are Frances Quinn and Dorothy Brooks.

She was preceded in death by sisters Kathryn Goldthwaite and Helen Wheat, as well as by her husband, G.T. Young; daughter Bettye Player; and daughter-in-law Norma Young.

Pallbearers are Jim Kirby, Bill Kirby, Jim Heavner, Tommy Haynes, Ronnie Brunson, Terry Legate, Robert Dyer and Doyle Whitaker.

Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Player, Ed Newman and Bill Nash.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Park United Methodist Church or the Boys and Girls Club of Red River Valley Foundation.

FORT WORTH — Born in her grandparents’ bedroom on a June day in 1915, the baby girl was so small that few expected her to live. Carmen Kathryn Fitch was carried across a wheat field and, the story goes, placed in an oven to keep her warm, her sister, Frances Quinn, said Friday. This was before incubators and hospitals were an option.

"We called her Tiny because when she was born, she was real tiny," Quinn said. "Back then, the doctors and nurses and things were not like it is now."

Tiny grew up, married Maynard Goldthwaite and lived a rich life as mother, secretary, traveler and entrepreneur. But it was her friendship, the telling of a good story and a way of making you feel important that defined her, family and friends said.

She also made a delicious frozen cappuccino. Mrs. Goldthwaite, 93, of Fort Worth, died Tuesday of cancer.

Her daughter, Carmen Goldthwaite, said her mother was an "inveterate optimist" who smiled in every family picture. She survived the Great Depression and was a woman strangers could lean on.

"I hit the lotto when I got her for a mom," Carmen Goldthwaite said.

As the second-oldest of five sisters, Mrs. Goldthwaite grew up happy and carefree on a wheat and dairy farm on the plains of Floydada, near Lubbock. Once she baked a pie for someone, but Quinn and two other sisters ate it.

"She chased us through the wheat field," Quinn said. "She kind of used a switch on us for eating her pie. That would be a funny thing — it is now. It wasn’t then."

She attended college for about a year, Quinn said.

"People didn’t have too much money," she said. "So she did not get to finish college, which always kind of broke her heart."

Mrs. Goldthwaite learned to become a good listener. Once, at the Downtown Fort Worth Association, where she worked, a young man who had been in prison sat at her desk. He had started barber school but was discouraged.

"He was going to go back to burglary," Carmen Goldthwaite said. "She listened. She didn’t rush in trying to fix people’s stuff. And she said: 'Why don’t you wait on that decision? Just go on back to school.’ And he did."

Mrs. Goldthwaite also worked as secretary to Sol Brachman, president of Producers Supply and Tool Co.; as executive secretary to W.C. Weeden, president of General Engineering Corp.; and as an administrative assistant at Overcash-Goodman Enterprises.

After her husband died, in 1979, she retired and spent time traveling with her sisters. In 1984, she and her daughter opened the Coffee and Tea House of Fort Worth on Park Hill Drive, the first shop of its kind in Cowtown. They started with 37 varieties of coffee and 57 of tea. Business was good, and they developed a loyal clientele. The shop was open for 13 years until chains such as Starbucks came into vogue.

Mrs. Goldthwaite was a member of organizations including the Woman’s Club and the Mary Isham Keith Chapter of the DAR and did volunteer work at Cook Children’s Medical Center. She was a member of Unity Church of Fort Worth.

S.J. Mackenzie, a longtime family friend, said Mrs. Goldthwaite made her an "adopted daughter."

"She made you feel like you were important when she was talking with you or you were talking with her," Mackenzie said. "She was an elegant lady. Even when she was in shorts and a T-shirt, she was an elegant lady."

About four months ago, Mrs. Goldthwaite got a visit from Mackenzie’s new grandson. "She wanted to hold him even though she was almost too weak to do so," Mackenzie said. "She held him and smiled at him and cooed at him. It was a beautiful bringing together of the beginnings of life and the ends of life. "She was still very giving and loving at that point, even as ill as she was."

Other survivors include sisters Victorene Young of Paris, Texas, and Dorothy Brooks of Denton.

I would like to contact anyone with current information concerning a Bible that was owned in 1920 by Jacob T. Fitch, of Pilot Point, Denton, Texas and transcribed by Ada Fitch, the daughter of Jacob T. Fitch. The Bible was published in 1811. It is a traditional Bible containing a record of the Fitch family in Texas. It was presented to Jacob Fitch (grandfather of Jacob T. Fitch) by his parents, John and Barbara Fitch, when he left Sullivan County, Tennessee. Ada Fitch lived in Denton and Tarrant Counties her entire life dying at Tarrant County in 1962.

I would love to see Joel's Will as sometimes a h can look like a w. My Great Grandfather is George Hampton Dyer. All his letters are signed and so are his legal documents.

I saw the Willock Tree and noticed I can correct some information you have (my mother was Mary M (Willock)) McGarity. George Hampton Dyer is my mother's Grandfather. I have his family heirlooms. Although I have no documents as to his parents. I have a Margaret Sullivan listed in his will. Which maybe his sister. I do have a paper trail (family documents as well) on his family from TN. WHich includes other names. There is a DNA project on a Joel Dyer. Do you have documents on Joel Dyerthat actually proves he's the father? George Hampton Dyer had a son (Joel) and daughter (Margaret E) from another unknown 2nd. wife. As his first wife Rebecca (my Mother's Grandmother) had died after she had my DNA lineage ELizaabeth Gibson Dyer and her sister Mary Caroline Dyer.

I've been researching the family of George Hampton Dyer born Tn. Justice of the peace. Moved to Pope Co. Ar. abt 1830- died 1848. Some family members moved to Bosque TX.
He married my maternal Grandmother and there's a DNA project. A lot of relatives lived in the Erath, Bsque areas.

Finis married a Lucinda Belle Bowles in 1876. She died in 1890 and he married Miss Maggie N. Wilkins. 10 yrs. later, he married a Georgia Ann Brazil Wagoner, my greatgrandmother. Finis and Georgia were my mother's grandparents. My mother's mother was one of Finis and Georgia's children, Beulah.

Okay, thanks for the new info on the Willock's. No, I have no documents which proves Joel is the father, most of my info I have recieved from others working on the Dyer family. I found where some one had posted Joel's will and it had a George W. Dyer listed as his son, so I don't know if this is a mistake or George Hampton is a different person, I still need to check alot of the info I have.

Since I posted this I have leaned a lot! Jessee R/K Coons is actually Jessee C Coons and I found the proof on his DC, as well his sons Jesee K Coons. Bother if ther names were Coger,but he spelled his sons with a K for Koger! Jesse K Coons is buried at Rose Hill with his wife Myrtle,and Jessee C Coons and his wife Ida L. Coons are buried at the old Oakwood North of FW.

This could not be my Furman Haggard.
My grandmother was 11 years old in 1900. She was born in 1888. My grandfather was born in 1883. Nellie and Furman were married in 1925 here in Tarrant County. Lawrence Oscar is their son.

I have the information. O.F. Haggard was my mother's brother. Aveta Aleene Haggard, he had a sister Viola Mae and a brother James Robert "J.R." Haggard.
His mother was Novella Elizabeth (Wood/Woods) Haggard,his father was James Lafayette Haggard from Tennessee.
Does anyone know Lawrences' wife's name and where they were married? I remember him very well.

Is your family part of the James Jackson Haggard and wife Cynthia Craze?
JR Haggard was the brother of my mother Aveta/Aveda Haggard.
JR lived on Riverside Drive here in Ft. Worth.
I have Furmans' death certificate showing his death cause and date of death and he is buried in Greenwood.
Too much considing information.
MY aunt had everthing listed in her Bible, but a lot of here info was wrong. Her name was Viola Mae. Record show diffrent infomation.

Furman died before Lawrence was born. He had lead poisioning. He got form smoking while working on a car battery and died that day.
Per my mother. He was the oldest son of James Lafayette Haggard and Novella Wood/Woods Haggard.

Our Furman died when Lawrence was about 6mos. old from appendicitis. Furman had a brother named JR and a sister named Avida. They are from Riverside, Texas area. Thank you for your info. The McKinney Boling born 1841 is McKinney M Boling , son of Merrell. I'm looking for info on McKinney H Boling (born 1830), son of Willaby, after 1865. The story is he was wounded in the Civil War in MS; left the hospital with his nurse and went to TX. He "abandoned" his family in GA. I have not found McKinney H Boling in any Census records in TX. Three of his children came to Tarrant Co, TX looking for him. Two stayed in the area, one went to Potter Co.

I checked the TX Death Index and Michael did die in Tarrant County, however, it didn't say which city so it's difficult to know which newspaper to look in.

There is a volunteer who looks up obits in the Fort Worth Public Library. Her contact info is at Tarrant County TXGenWeb, www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txtarran/obits/obituaries.htm .

Seeking information on the murder of Myrtle Paty 22 Jul 1927 Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. I have not been able to establish who her husband was. The death certificate says she was married and a housewife. The informant was an M. E. Paty of Taft, CA. No parents are listed on the certificate other than name of father "Tidwell", which could be his first name or surname. Myrtle was 34 (birth date "unknown to informant") and was born in TX. There was an inquest held on her death and the certificate says "gun shot wound with homicidal intent". She was interred at Greenwood Memorial Park

His wife Elizabeth Stevens died while giving birth to Francis Youngblood (male). She is buried somewhere in Torrant County and I am looking for that particular site. Elizabeth Stevens Youngblood b.1835 d.3 Dec 1872.

I have found in the DAR index (abstract) of Tarrant Cemetaries a record of J.H. Youngblood born in 1870 buried in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery, but no further information on whether that was an infant or not.

(Shotgun, Again...NEVER ASSUME someone is dead if you can't find them. Catherine is alive and well in the 1900 Census, she is known as Kate, a widow, as Jerry said, living in Parker County).

Also, never assume being titled as a widow is proof. Back then, a lot of women were "widows" whose husbands had run off. But, in this case, it appears his brother was living near them in the 1880 and 1900 Census.

Listed is "J.T. Jordan". I'm not sure if this means "husband" and there was a mistake in the cemetery transcription, or if he also shares. This is the Poolville Cemetery. As in all transcriptions, graves are missed, stones are missing or unreadible, or they could have been buried elsewhere.

They are found in the 1900 Census in/near the area of Agnes, Parker County. Alice is shown as the youngest, born 1884. Kate (Catherine) was 62, mother of 7, 5 living. If Alice was the youngest, then Joseph died 1883/1884 time frame.

As you probably have already found, a likely character in Joseph Jordan, 18, is found in the 1860 census in Jordan, Jasper County, Indiana. Father John, born in Virginia age 57, brother James 16, William 15, John 13, Samuel 10, Josephine 8. Mother is missing.
--The 1850 has mother Sally, born Ohio. Joseph T is 8. They are living in Jordan, Jasper Co, Indiana.
So, good chance that is where he was born.

FLORENCE — Dr. Hilton Pack Terrell, 63, of Florence died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, in McLeod hospital after a brief illness.
Dr. Terrell was born in Fort Worth, Texas, a son of the late Lake E. Terrell Jr. and Alma Pack Terrell. He was raised in Sumter. Dr. Terrell received a BS, MA, & PhD all from the University of South Carolina and a MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He served three years in a residency program in a Family Practice in Anderson, practiced for one year in St. George, and six years in Sumter, before coming to Florence in 1985 to be on the faculty at McLeod Regional Medical Center in the Family Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Terrell was the president-elect of the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) and was the past editor of the Journal of Biblical Ethics in Medicine. He also was employed by Palmetto Infusion of Florence. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Florence, where he was a past elder and Sunday school teacher, and he taught biology from 2007 to 2008 at The Kings Academy.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Marcia Slagle Terrell of the home; three children, Dr. Timothy David Terrell of Greer, Amanda T. (Deason) Smith of Piedmont, Dr. Eric S. (Rebekah) Terrell of Florence; a brother, Lake Eric (Margaret) Terrell III, Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Elaine T. (George) Goosmann of Asheville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Terrell, Julia Ruth Terrell, William Terrell, Alex Smith, Joshua Smith and Benjamin Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in First Presbyterian Church in Florence. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Gable Cemetery near Gable, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home of Florence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLeod Foundation, P.O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 29501 or to Faith PCA Church, 1800 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29501.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at the funeral home.

Marion D. Hutton was my grand father. He died in Jack co. Tx. I have been searching trying to find Bartlett's parents. If a William married a Timmons that would probably be John Timmons daughter but I have only found Bartlett, Alvay, Alexander, Doctor, and a Findley. Some of these were living with Stephen Carroll in Alabama. So I am assumming they were orphans. The William could be the son that is buried in Ben Dye Cemetery but i have not not on his age.

I am not related and your search for Bertha, Mary Camilla "Fannie" and Olive in Fort Worth may be too far to the east.

Luther H Liston and wife "Ollie" Newell Liston, her parents and a brother are listed in Floyd county 1910 census as well as 1920. This is in the panhandle and two counties NE of Hockley county where Dewey Phill Hutson was born in 1942.

Alleged mother per "family trees" was Arminta "Minnie" Lemon married to Jacob L Chamlee in 1897. Minnie reported to have died in 1914 in Seymour, Bailey county, no death certificate found. "Jake" Chamlee, widowed, was listed in Collingsworth county 1920 census, two counties NE of Floyd, and reported to have died in 1922, no death record in Texas. There was also an older brother Henry M Chamlee born Oklahoma about 1901.

The Liston's returned to Kaufman county sometime after 1930 census which is where Luther and his family were in 1900, Luther and Sarah Olive Newell Liston both died in 1959 in Terrell.
