"Like the size of the fish the man claims broke his reel--it's growing." Let's guesstimate the home was completed in the fall of 1930? How many neighbors have resided in the neighborhood since that time and have intimate knowledge of the home's construction? Of course, there could have been extensive remodeling of the original design. Anyway, have any luck finding descendants of William Sumner Caldwell? His widow, Gertrude (nee: Taylor) survived him by nearly one-half a century. She has a find-a-grave memorial in Parker County as Gertrude Taylor Caldwell (27 Jul 1901 - 28 Jul 1993). Her husband, Pvt. William S. Caldwell, and daughters: Vivian Delores Caldwell Slavik (28 Mar 1930 - 24 Aug 1989) and Betty Caldwell Burton (7 May 1925 - 4 Feb 1982) are also buried nearby. There is a partial obit attached to Gertrude's memorial and I think the last child, Judy, was born after the death of W. S.? At her demise, Gertrude was survived by son (Robert James) and daughter Judy Bachman. Also mentioned, by name, was a caregiver granddaughter Sherry Sperry. Sherry is the daughter of Betty Caldwell and Floyd Weldon Harvey.
