I appreciate your quick response. I know that William was a motorman. That was handed down in the family. I suspect that William and Bertie did not separate under friendly terms. I have been unable to find a record of any marriage. If they married it was probably in 1903. She divorced A. L. Kifer in the spring of 1903 and my Dad was born in June 1904. The separation occured sometime before about 1912 when she married John E. McClung. I've been working this problem for 25 years. Now, I'm hoping to stumble accross someone who has family info on William. Thanks again for the quick response and effort.
