Hello, I came across the following article in The Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Texas, Friday, December 18, 1931 Edition, Section I, Page Two, Column 4:
"Alleged Slayer Found To Be of Unsound Mind
From the Fort Worth Bureau of The News.
FORT WORTH Texas, Dec. 18.- Cecil B. King, under indictment for the slaying of his brother-in-law, P.E. Woods, last July was found to be of unsound mind Thursday by a jury in local County Court.
He was returned to the Tarrant County jail until a place can be found for him in a State institution. His family will make no effort to gain his release, defense attorneys indicated.
Trial of King in local Criminal District Court on the murder charge several months ago, when his attorneys filed an insanity affidavit, resulted in a hung jury."
Hope this answers some of your questions. Enjoy the day!
