Anais Palmire Rachal (nee Compere) was the mother of a significant settler/businessman in San Patricio County - Darius Cyriaque Rachal. There is a decent biography of Daruis' life on "The Handbook of Texas Online".

Several Rachal family members (including Darius and Anais) are buried in Rosita Cemetery at White Point (aka Rosita, Texas). Please check out my work at Rosita Cemetery on the Find-A-Grave website. This site is a useful companion to Ancestry.

I am trying to help an older man and his daughter find family information. Manuel Longoria was born December 13, 1911 and was christened at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, Texas and his sponsors were Ramon Chapa and Maria Tapia. Also on the baptismal certificate are the parent’s names Pedro Longoria and Sara Diaz. He says that he parents died when he was very young and was raised by other family members. He would like to know where his parents were buried and any other information if possible.
Looking at the 1910 census for San Patricia County and confirmed by him; his parents were Pedro (b. abt 1860) and Sara (b. abt 1890) Longoria. Also listed were Salia (4yrs), and Gaudalupe (5mos) as older siblings. Also in the household is the mother in law (to the HH) and other in-laws; Ramon Diaz (14yrs), Judalupe Diaz (13yrs), and Sevia Diaz.
Looking at the 1880 census Pedro’s parents may have been Desiderio (1832) and Geronima (1840) Longoria.
Either way I’d like to help this man find where his parents are. He is not getting any younger and his daughter has already suffered a stroke.
Just a note to let you know, if you don't already, that Mary Brown's full name was Mary Ellen Brown and Charles O'Docharty was really Cahir O'Docharty who was my great grandfather. My grandfather was Edward William O'Docharty his wife was Lillian (Machen) O'Docharty, my father Edward Grady O'Docharty , my Mother Julia Ann (Vaughan) O'Docharty all of which are buried in San Dia, Texas. I grew up in Corpus Christi, left at the age of 19 and now live in Corona, CA. My sister has pictures of 6 of our seven generations to include : Patrick O'Docharty, Cahir O'Docharty, Edward William O'Docharty, Edward Grady O'Docharty, Thomas Edward O'Docharty (Self) and my son Jason Paul O'Docharty. She also has a picture, I believe, of Mary Ellen Brown who was married to Cahir. Thought you might be interested. The only male missing in the 7 generations as far as a picture was the first surveyor-William who was Patrick's father.

Sincerely, Tom O'Docharty

Do you know Lee's parents? Could it be Jessie's middle name is May? Did all the other info for Lee match up as far as vital stats? I have 8 other siblings for Lee at this time. Do you know those? That would be a start if you did cuz then we could make more of a match.
